Removing Roadblocks to the Arts

Research shows children who study the arts are four times more likely to achieve academically. Yet, state budget cuts have reduced school arts programs and made it difficult for many schools to send their students to valuable off-campus programs. One of the biggest obstacles is the high cost of bus transportation. The Wells Fargo Center for the Arts Bus Fund is designed to help. The fund provides school grants to help pay the cost of bus transportation to the Center’s education programs. Qualifying Title One schools, determined by the state to be most in need of assistance, receive the maximum award.

To qualify, you must purchase the minimum number of tickets specified and make full payment within 30 days of placing your order.

ArtReach

Providing Joy at Little or No Cost
10,000 Free and Reduced Price Tickets a Year!

The truth is, not everyone can afford to participate in the arts. Yet music, dance, and theater are at the heart of every society, bringing joy to our lives and providing one of our most effective means for understanding and communication.

At Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, we believe even those who cannot afford the cost should have the opportunity to participate in the arts. This is the belief behind the Center’s ArtReach program, which provides free and reduced-price tickets to low-income residents in our community.

Through ArtReach, thousands of students who participate in the National School Lunch Program receive reduced-price tickets, allowing them to experience school shows along with the rest of their classmates. Additionally, we work with local service groups to provide free tickets for children and adults in our community who cannot afford to attend a show.
